Adam & Sarah’s Engagement Session

Like I said, it was a busy weekend for us.  On Sunday the 22nd, we did another Engagement photo session with a great couple, Adam and Sarah.  We faired better weather conditions and the sun was shining, but it was still pretty cold outside.  Adam, bless his heart, took us to a great INDOOR spot to do the photos.  I cannot begin to tell everyone how this place just blew us away…  every corner we turned there was a new and exciting photo adventure to be had.  I’m not exaggerating, I promise.  We had a train station, cafe, jungle, treehouse, New York city life, and even our very own spa-like environments all under one roof!

Thank you Adam and Sarah for being patient with us and we can’t wait until the wedding!  I’ll be posting a sneak peek very soon…

Busy weekend…

On Saturday the 21st, Bill and I did an Engagement photo shoot for a fun loving couple, Heather and Daniel.  I got to tell you, they were such good troopers.  Saturday’s weather conditions, in the lovely state of Wisconsin, was about 19-20 degrees above zero and we had just got about 4-8 inches of the lovely white stuff dumped on us.  Did I mention the wind???  No?  Well it was blowing about 15 mph, not the best conditions for doing an outdoor photo shoot.  BUT, we did have fun and got some really fun and cute pictures.  I’ll be posting a sneak peek soon, stay tuned….

First ever Maternity shoot and boy was I in for a surprise…

On Sunday, the 8th, I did my first ever Maternity shoot. It was for a friend of a friend and she looked fabulous! I was a little nervous about doing this shoot, as I’ve never done one before like this and was going to be using a new lens and a new camera, talk about nerves being a little rattled. Plus, it was to be indoors, so I just did the best I could…

However, who would’ve ever guessed that this photo shoot would end up being a very special one!! Why was it special? Well, first of all, the mother-to-be’s due date wasn’t until March 28th. Then, just yesterday I received an email from a friend stating that the mother-to-be is actually a Mommy!! That very same night of the photo session she went into the hospital and brought little Liam into this world! As far as I know baby and mom are doing well, but because the little guy was quite early he’ll have to stay in the hospital for a little while.

Talk about timing! I feel very honored to have captured the last hours of her pregnancy and to be able to present her with memories that almost could not have been captured had it been just one day later. I am currently working on the photos and will post a few sneak peeks soon.

Just this past Saturday I had the pleasure of babysitting for a friend. Her little guy’s name is Logan and he was such a great baby that I couldn’t pass up taking some photos of him. As soon as this little guy smiled at me, I was a goner. He had captivated my heart in seconds and proved to be a perfect match for my camera. I hope everyone enjoys these photos as much as I did taking them.
