Brooke ~ Milton HS Senior {Milton Wisconsin High School Senior Photographer}

The rain subsided for the day and became the perfect conditions in which to photograph Brooke for her HS Senior session!  This was a girl after my own heart!  She was fun, sweet, playful and willing to do whatever.  We did a very special photograph in remembrance of her Mother who has passed due to Breast Cancer.  She wanted a way in which to always remember her and bring awareness at the same time.  Bless her heart.

I love it when my clients personalities are incorporated into their photos.  Brooke is an avid Bears fan!!!  GO BEARS!!!  So wearing the jersey is such a fun idea!  She also LOVES fashion, she brought her game on that too!  And I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE she brought her prom dress!  What a fun way to wear a beautiful dress more than once.

The day called for rain, rain and more rain…  I knew of a great place to try and asked Jake to trust me and bear the weather with me.  He did such a great job and I think we got some really cool shots!  Jake is very musically talented and I hope he follows his dreams, wherever they may take him.

Jacob ~ Ft. Atkinson HS ~ Class of 2011 {High School Senior Wisconsin Photographer}

I love it when I get the chance to work with more of my wedding couples families!  Jacob is Amanda’s brother… which we photographed Amanda & Bryan’s wedding is July of this year.  The wedding was a such a blast and gave me a chance to get to know Jacob a little more.  By the time we came out to his house to photograph him, it felt like we were visiting an old friend.

Jacob is a Senior at Fort Atkinson High School in WI.  He has such a great personality and is great guy!  We wish him the best of luck in whatever adventures come his way!  Congratulations Jacob!!!

Scott & Chelsea = LOVE {Fort Atkinson Wisconsin Engagement Wedding Photographer}

I love when we meet up with new brides at the referral of a past bride!!!  Actually, Chelsea was the Maid-of-Honor in Autumn & Ryan’s wedding and got to see us in action.  I was thrilled to hear from Chelsea when she called me asking to meet so we could discuss her wedding in December of 2011 to Scott.

We met up with Scott and Chelsea at her parents house in Fort Atkinson to do their “part 1″ engagement session.  Why I say “Part 1″ is because she asked if we could split the session up to include the Summer and Winter, since they have “toys” for Winter that they’d like to incorporate.  Of course was my response… so here is their “Summer” session sneak peek, with their Winter one to follow later…  Enjoy!

Brandon & Rachel {Baraboo Wisconsin Wedding Photographer}

We always tend to arrive a little early to the weddings we photograph… to scope out the area, take some shots of the church, get inspired… but when Rachel showed up that was all the inspiration we needed.  She was all smiles, cool, calm, and collected.  Looking at her reminded me of why I love to photograph weddings.

The ceremony took place at the GORGEOUS St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Baraboo, WI.  I’m not exaggerating when I say GORGEOUS, it was really GORGEOUS!  The photo ops were endless and I was like a little girl with stars in my eyes.   The lighting was beautiful and hard not to take advantage of.

Weddings are full of emotion and this one was no exception.  But it wasn’t during the ceremony that pulled on my heart strings this time; it was during the beginning of the receiving line that I sensed a tear rolling my cheek.  At the moment when Brandon saw his Mom walk underneath the threshold to come greet him, it was a moment only a Mother and Son could share, a moment where a Mother has to let go and the son is now a man with a wife.

After everything was wrapped up at the ceremony site, we all headed out to do some more photos.  Our first stop was at a park, where Erin and I were able to steal Brandon & Rachel away for a little alone time and awesome photo op.  I just LOVE it when we get a chance to do this!!

Next, we headed for downtown Baraboo.  We found the most FABULOUS alley and had a blast taking photos in it.  The wedding party was fun and up for anything, so when Erin suggested lifting Brandon & Rachel up over their heads, like a mosh pit, there was no hesitation.  I absolutely fell in the love with the location and had so much fun!

The reception was held at the Wintergreen Resort & Conference Center in WI Dells.  Fall flowers, warm colors and twinkling lights filled the room.  The candy buffet and personalized Root Beer bottles were a hit and lots of laughter could be heard coming from friends and family.  It was a perfect ending to a perfect day.
