A little bundle of joy… {DeForest Wisconsin Baby Family Photographer}

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of shooting a Maternity session for a wonderful Mommy-to-Be.  She was the cutest thing ever and made my job an easy one.  She brought along her little guy and husband, so we started out with a little family time.  Once the “guys” left to go get something to eat, us “girls” started to play and see what we could come up with.

I have to say, I absolutely love these images!  Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought Maternity pictures would be so fun and beautiful.  When I was pregnant, a LONG time ago, I don’t think it ever crossed my mind to do something like this… but NOW it’s all different and pregnant women are seen as being BEAUTIFUL.  What better way to celebrate and remember this most amazing time than to remember it by having a Maternity session.

This session was also my first time ever working in a real studio… thank you to everyone involved for making this happen.  I was in complete awe and envious… maybe someday I’ll own something so cool!  So without further ado… here’s the sneak peek.. enjoy!

Melissa’s Maternity Session

As we try and broaden our horizon on different types of photography, we did another maternity session to changes things up a bit.  Melissa, bless her heart, is expecting a baby girl in just a couple of days, Tuesday Nov. 24th I believe.  So we are very honored to have yet again, captured such an important and special event in their lives.  When doing maternity sessions, I can’t help but LOVE the look and feel of B&W images.  They are timeless and just downright incredible…

First ever Maternity shoot and boy was I in for a surprise…

On Sunday, the 8th, I did my first ever Maternity shoot. It was for a friend of a friend and she looked fabulous! I was a little nervous about doing this shoot, as I’ve never done one before like this and was going to be using a new lens and a new camera, talk about nerves being a little rattled. Plus, it was to be indoors, so I just did the best I could…

However, who would’ve ever guessed that this photo shoot would end up being a very special one!! Why was it special? Well, first of all, the mother-to-be’s due date wasn’t until March 28th. Then, just yesterday I received an email from a friend stating that the mother-to-be is actually a Mommy!! That very same night of the photo session she went into the hospital and brought little Liam into this world! As far as I know baby and mom are doing well, but because the little guy was quite early he’ll have to stay in the hospital for a little while.

Talk about timing! I feel very honored to have captured the last hours of her pregnancy and to be able to present her with memories that almost could not have been captured had it been just one day later. I am currently working on the photos and will post a few sneak peeks soon.
