Brian & Julie’s Wedding, April 17, 2010
Posted on April 21, 2010
To start off the wedding season this year, Bill and I had the pleasure of documenting Brian & Julie’s wedding day. The ceremony took place at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Janesville, WI. It was a beautiful day, a little windy, but beautiful! Julie looked stunning in her gown and Brian looked very handsome in his white tail coat tux. The wedding party was wonderful to work with and we had a great time getting to know everyone.
The reception took place at Best Events-Kandu banquet hall in Janesville, WI. Julie had a little surprise in store for Brian later into the evening… she changed into a very beautiful “Civil War” era ballgown and I believe she took his breath away…for the second time that day.
Thank you Brian and Julie, for allowing Bill and I to be part of your special day and we wish you both the very best! Congratulations! We hope you love this little sneak peek!

“Totally 80′s” Photoshoot…
Posted on April 15, 2010
On Sunday I attended an event that was hosted by STUN Photography Group in Green Bay, WI. The theme was “Totally 80′s”… don’t you just LOVE the 80′s!!! The shoot took place at West High School in Green Bay, WI and models from all around WI joined in on the fun. The group is for the sake of fellow photographers and models to get together, network, learn, teach, share ideas and just have some good ol’ fun.
The reason I LOVE going to these types of events is because this gives me a chance to experiment with different techniques, lighting situations, and forces me to take out my creative hat and apply it. Networking and meeting other photographers is another reason these types of events are awesome… it gives us a chance to talk shop, learn from each other and potentially start great friendships.
All of the following images were set up, posed and lighted by myself, that’s another reason why I attend this particular groups’ events, they just set the time and place and we, photographers, do all the rest. I had a great time and feel this was great timing to get me back into the swing of things for the upcoming wedding season… yep, it begins this Saturday!!! I’m so excited… and nervous. But I believe it’s good to be nervous, if I wasn’t, then I think something might be wrong.
So without further ado… here are some images from Sunday. ENJOY!

Brian & Julie’s E-Session
Posted on April 8, 2010
Last Saturday we did an engagement shoot with Brian, Julie and their adorable little dogs, Sandy and Laci Mae. This adorable couple is getting married on April 17th, just a little under 2 weeks away! I loved the way Brian looked at Julie and the way Julie just smiled right back at him. One could see in their eyes that they were meant to be together and shared something very special.
Brian is involved in Civil War reenactments and will be incorporating into the wedding the very cool tradition of the Saber Arch to salute the newly married couple. I think this is a fabulous addition to the wedding day and can’t wait to capture this!!
I am stunned at how time flies by and it’s already the start of another wedding season. We are so looking forward to getting the season started and are very excited to be documenting Brian and Julie’s special day. So as you all know, here is a sneak peek at Julie and Brian’s engagement session. ENJOY!

The Arrival of Miss Skyler Elizabeth Marie
Posted on March 30, 2010
It is with the utmost pleasure to introduce little Miss Skyler! I had the honor of photographing her first days in this new world of hers as she was born on March 12, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI. Her proud parents are Daniel and Heather Shields.
Anyone reading this blog regularly may notice the names Daniel and Heather from my previous posts about their Engagement and Wedding images. Yep, that’s right!!! I had the honor of photographing and documenting not only their engagement and wedding stories but now their first born child. There is nothing sweeter than being able to preserve such important milestones in their lives for them.
I’d like to wish Heather and Daniel all the happiness in the world and to enjoy every moment spent with their new little girl. Thank you for allowing me to capture your little miracle.
It is with my pleasure to share with you this very special sneak peek.

Fabulous Wedding Workshop
Posted on February 23, 2010
So as I am always one to want to learn as much as I can, I attended an all day Wedding Workshop in Chicago, IL. During this workshop I learned fun new techniques for lighting, posing, and interaction with our couples. The models used during this workshop were absolutely fabulous and wonderful! I can’t wait to apply everything we’ve been learning to this seasons weddings. Here’s a couple images I took from the workshop, I hope you enjoy!
